Dinosaur egg oatmeal Yummy

Dinosaur egg oatmeal there was nary an egg, a bit of toast, or fruit coming soon. I have no reason at all besides laziness.
If you ate breakfast within the ’90s, itrrrs likely that you keep this in mind stuff. Dinosaur eggs oatmealwas probably one of the few methods for getting kids to nibble on lumpy grey porridge (if it was healthy is often a whole other thing). If you made the meal yourself, assembling a bowl of dinosaur eggs oatmeal might have been your first exposure to mindful cooking.

There was, however, one breakfast worth setting a security alarm for: Dinosaur Eggs Oatmeal. Most mornings, the anticipation of ripping open one of those brown Quaker packets while looking forward to the kettle to boil was almost an excessive amount of will bear.
You’d rip open when oatmeal packet and sprinkle the oats and pale white candy eggs in to a cereal bowl. You’d stare with the kettle while you waited for that water to boil. You’d give a glug of water to the oats then patience. Suddenly, a vibrant colored dinosaur would emerge from one of many eggs. Then another. Soon, you are shoveling those dinosaurs into your mouth, happy like a clam.
But, oh, maybe it was wait definitely worth the wait: Adding adequate water to stop watery oats, stirring (which has a fork, as Quaker’s website suggests), watching the white shell round the eggs disappear to disclose the colorful dinosaur within, and consuming the brown sugar-heavy oats in a minute flat.


On the weekends, I’d use two oatmeal packets. Yes, I was crazy that way.
Dinosaur eggs oatmeal is harder to find currently, so why don’t you help make your own? Melt candy until smooth, then dollop it in to a piping bag (a plastic baggie which has a snipped corner works in the pinch.) Pipe small white chocolate eggs, then dot each which has a dinosaur sprinkle. Cover the dinosaurs with additional chocolate, then freeze until firm. Shake hardened eggs in the bag with powdered sugar, then pour them in to a creamy brown sugar and cinnamon-kissed oatmeal. As you stir the warm oats, look out for hatching dinosaurs.
Now, I’ll wake 1 hour early just to consume breakfast. Even-okay, especially-if it’s dinosaur eggs oatmeal. And since I’m the person who can let anything be, I decided to produce my own, personal version, borrowing the coating technique from puppy chow to form an “egg shell” around dinosaur-shaped sprinkles. If you like your oatmeal completely inundated with dinosaur eggs (and who is able to blame you), double the amount egg recipe!

1 2-ounce sweet baking bar, chopped
Dinosaur sprinkles
1 3/4 cups water
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup uncooked regular rolled oats
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Ingredients
1 2-ounce candy baking bar, chopped
Dinosaur sprinkles
1 3/4 cups water
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup uncooked regular rolled oats
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
How to Make It
Step 1
Microwave candy in the small microwaveable bowl on HIGH until melted, about 1 minute and 30 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds. Transfer melted chocolate with a small piping bag fitted having a fine writing tip or ziplock plastic bag having a small hole cut from 1 corner with the bag. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pipe 20 small egg shapes. Place 1 dinosaur sprinkle on each egg, and pipe chocolate over dinosaurs to pay completely recall.
Step 2
Bring water and salt to a boil in a very medium saucepan with lid over medium-high. Stir in oats.Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer, covered, 3 minutes. Remove lid, and cook, stirring occasionally, until oats are tender and water is practically absorbed, about 2 minutes. Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon. Remove from heat, and stir in cream. Divide oatmeal evenly between 2 bowls wiki.
Step 3
Combine powdered sugar and eggs in the small ziplock plastic bag. Seal bag, and shake to coat.Pour egg mixture by having a fine wire-mesh strainer over the rubbish bin to take out excess powdered sugar. Top oatmeal evenly with eggs.
The most challenging part of making the oatmeal is, and may be, awaiting the river to boil.
Dinosaur Eggs Oatmeal
Makes eleven to twelve 1/2-cup servings
For the dinosaur eggs:
1/4 cup white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup dinosaur-shaped sprinkles
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
For the moment oatmeal:
5 cups quick (or instant) oats, divided
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 cup brownish sugar
1/2 cup dry milk powder
For the dinosaur egg oatmeal, place the candy and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second increments, stirring among, prior to the chocolate is melted. Quickly add the sprinkles and stir to coat. The sprinkles might begin to bleed just a little, but that’s okay! Transfer this with a resealable quart-sized plastic bag and add to the confectioners’ sugar.
Now, it’s time for you to shake it as being a Polaroid picture. Keep shaking until “eggs” form.
